AMSTERDAM – On March 16 (between 07:30 and 21:00), the Fashion for Good Museum – the world’s first sustainable fashion museum – will be an official voting location for the local municipal elections. Vote at Rokin 102 in the monumental building in the centre of Amsterdam and get a look at the current exhibition “GROW: the future of fashion”, a unique presentation about the future of fashion.

In the run-up to the elections, the Fashion for Good Museum is also organising ‘The Amsterdam Election Show’ in collaboration with ‘De Kiesmannen’ on March 12, to help visitors decide who to vote for.

VOTING LOCATION 16 MARCH
The local municipal elections will take place on Wednesday 16 March 2022 and this year Amsterdam residents can vote for the first time in the Fashion for Good Museum at Rokin 102.

“With our unique location in the middle of the city centre, we are the perfect voting location for all Amsterdammers! Now is the time to make your voice heard about how you want our policymakers to shape our future. As a sustainable fashion museum, which is focused on the future, we hope to be able to enthuse the younger generation to let their voice be heard,” says Gwen Boon, general manager Fashion for Good Museum.

The museum bar will be open all day for coffee or tea.

EVENT 12 MARCH
In the run-up to the elections, the Fashion for Good Museum will host ‘The Amsterdam Election Show’, given by the political cabaret trio De Kiesmannen, where voters will be prepared for the Amsterdam municipal elections in a substantive and interactive way. If you don’t know who to vote for yet, this is a must-attend event!

After their shows in Paradiso, the creation of their podcast and tours to MBO schools, De Kiesmannen will take to the Fashion for Good Museum stage on Saturday 12 March (from 5.30-7 p.m.) to discuss the themes of living, safety and climate and to compare the party programmes. Videos with personal messages from the party leaders are also shown.

During this event, visitors will gain insight into the various party programmes with an explanation of why it is important to vote and you will be helped with your vote choice.
