AMSTERDAM – The Fashion for Good Museum will participate in the Upcoming edition of the National Museum Week, taking place from the 19th to 25th of April. During Museum Week, a spotlight is given to Dutch museum collections with museums offering interesting events that this year, will all be digital!

Exclusively for Museum Week 2021, the Fashion for Good Museum gives you a free sneak peek of the new GROW exhibition that explores the fascinating world of biomaterials in fashion. Every day at 1 p.m. (CEST) an experienced guide is ready to give you a virtual tour through the museum.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Fruit skin fabric, mushroom ‘leather’, spider-silk, dye made by bacteria and algae, the Fashion for Good Museum in Amsterdam explores the biomaterials and cutting-edge innovations that are shaping the sustainable future of fashion. What exactly are biomaterials? How sustainable are they and what makes them different from traditional fibres like cotton and hemp? And does bio always mean better and sustainable?
