Now Hiring: Investment Manager

Fashion for Good (FfG) is the global initiative that is here to make all fashion good. FfG will enable the breakthrough innovation and widespread adoption of good fashion practice. We now open applications for the role of Investment Manager.

We seek a full-time Investment Manager to actively manage FfG’s investment budget. This is a key hire for FfG. The Investment Manager will deal with all finance-related topics around FfG’s activities of nurturing and scaling innovations. This includes the preparation, analysis and execution of investments as well as the tracking and reporting of the generated impact.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Evaluation of investment targets: Develop assessment and valuation frameworks, processes and systems which are required to perform reliable financial due diligences of potential investments or startups to be accepted to the programme. Execute due diligences for FfG investments. Ensure that FfG’s portfolio startups are investment ready and the required documents (e.g. business case and term sheet) are persuasive.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage portfolio of FfG investments and startups in the programme.
  • Network of investors: Act as a matchmaker between startups and investors by setting up and managing a portfolio of associated Impact Investors and VCs.
  • Monitoring: Monitor the financial performance of innovators/start-ups which have successfully participated in the FfG program and prepare reports for the management and the board.
  • Result Measurement Strategy: Develop and manage the result measurement framework along performance and impact KPIs, through which the FfG’s activities can be monitored and evaluated. Support the development of FfG’s impact strategy, while enhancing and adapting the result measurement model.
  • Result and Impact Management: Ensure that FfG defines its targets, sets up the systems, measures and reports back on impact. Measure, track and evaluate the social and environmental impact along all elements of FfG. Create and manage the dashboard for the management and the board on performance and impact data, and produce reports for various stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

The final candidate is an experienced investment analyst and has solid financial analytical skills:

  • Experience in the field of evaluating investment proposals, executing due diligence processes, risk assessments, etc.
  • Experience in the field of social and environmental impact investing and measurement through positions in, e.g. impact investing functions and/or organisations, responsible and sustainable investment initiatives, development banks, partner/client organizations, governmental, environmental organisations and such alike
  • Ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders engaged and involved with FfG
  • Experience in dealing with key stakeholders, such as commercial client partners, local financial partners, governments, NGOs and beneficiaries

EDUCATION

Academic degree with a proven track record in similar or adjacent positions.

LANGUAGES

Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of a second relevant (e.g., Dutch) language is considered a plus.
