AMSTERDAM- On the 2nd of November the Fashion for Good Experience joined Museumnacht for the first time. With a special programme built around the question: “What does sustainability mean to you?”, different fashion change makers unveiled a unique T-shirt design and shared their personal message with the public. The five change makers all have a personal or professional connection to fashion and contribute to the industry in different ways: Jessica Gyasi, Hanna Verboom, Kim Feenstra, Oliviér Josepha and Chanel Trapman.

During Museumnacht, Fashion for Good aimed to introduce visitors to sustainability and innovations in an inspiring way. To that end, the evening started with a guided tour through the museum, with a Fashion for Good host explaining the current status of the fashion industry, the innovations that are already on the market and how you can contribute to a positive change yourself.

The second element in the programme had a focus on circular production and education in which the circular T-shirt design studio in the museum played a pivotal role for this purpose during Museumnacht. The Fashion for Good Experience shows that if someone gets creative with a sustainable product in a playful way, the personal distance towards sustainability becomes smaller, a positive experience is created and the visitors are more likely to take action and thus automatically become part of the Good Fashion Movement.

To appeal to a young audience, Fashion for Good worked with a special group of Good Fashion Changemakers, who created their own personal design in the T-shirt design studio, showing their own vision on sustainability. The designs were unveiled over the course of the evening, shared through social media and presented on a special Museumnacht display in the Good Shop. The T-shirt was exclusively available during the event.
