POSITION SUMMARY & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Within a short timeframe of less than 2 years, Fashion for Good has established itself as the go-to platform for sustainable fashion innovation on a global level. As we are entering our next phase of growth, we seek a Strategy & Business Development Manager who can help steer Fashion for Good’s strategic direction and drive business development. This is a key hire for Fashion for Good as it spans all areas of its operation, including innovation programme strategy, outreach to partners, geographical expansion and operational processes. The Strategy & Business development manager acts as a chief of staff, working directly with the Fashion for Good Managing Director. Familiarity with the early stage venture-backed company ecosystem and a strong mission-alignment towards sustainability is preferred. A willingness to operate in a dynamic fast paced environment is a must.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Report to and work with the Fashion for Good Managing Director to develop and drive the strategic agenda and programme proposition.
  • Drive business development and relationship management to further expand the Fashion for Good partner base on a global level.
  • Coordinate strategic business initiatives and guide to completion
  • Set up and/or lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative input for ongoing strategies and deliverables, such as stakeholder meetings and Supervisory Board presentations
  • Help coordinate Fashion for Good wide procedures and programmes.
  • Track organisation-wide KPIs.
  • Lead recruiting and on-boarding of new employees.
  • Represent Fashion for Good externally.
  • Develop meaningful relationships across the Fashion for Good ecosystem.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, pro-active attitude. The following qualifications are essential

  • 7+ years of experience in fast-paced environmentswith a focus on business operations, project or programme management
  • Strong interest in sustainability, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, venture capital
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Excellent writtenandverbal communication skills
  • Creative thinking with the ability for sound judgementand accountability
  • Proven attention to detailthrough prior work or life experience
  • Pro-activeness, enthusiasm, can-do attitude, comfort in dealing with a variety of responsibilities
  • Capacity to adapt to different settings, easily navigating different cultures and organisationsettings
  • The following experience is a plus:relevant work experience, e.g. in management consulting, an entrepreneurial / start-up setting, venture capital, sustainability, the apparel industry.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • MBA preferred.

LANGUAGES

  • Proficiency in English is a requirement.
