We seek an Intern who will be responsible for supporting the investment manager with day to day activities, including research and evaluation of start-ups, due diligence relating to equity investments, portfolio management, support on the Good Fashion Fund, and relationship management of the wider investor community. The Intern will be part of the Fashion for Good innovation team and will be working from Fashion for Good’s Amsterdam office. Key responsibilities of the Intern include amongst others the following.

Screening, due diligence and portfolio management of Fashion for Good start-ups

  • Evaluate innovators (e.start-ups) in the Fashion for Good Accelerator and Scaling programmes based on Fashion for Good’s established due diligence framework
  • Prepare documents, e.g. investment memos, for the Fashion for Good investment committee
  • Monitoring and documenting innovators’ progress from a financing and impact perspective

Good Fashion Fund activities

  • Support on the evaluation and due diligence of technologies relevant to the Good Fashion Fund
  • Support the Good Fashion Fund team on scouting and screening of relevant innovators, technology implementation projects and potential deals

Investor ecosystem relationship management

  • Maintain dialogues with relevant global investor network of Fashion for Good
  • Identify and research investors (angels, VC funds, impact investors) that could be relevant additions to the Fashion for Good investor ecosystem in Europe, North America and Asia
  • Hands on support with the organisation of the events (e.innovation fest and the investor roundtable) organized by Fashion for Good

Supporting Innovation Team

  • Support the innovation platform team in scouting and mapping of innovators
  • Assist Fashion for Good’s Innovation Managers in the creation of the deliverables outlined in the innovator’s roadmap to scale (e.financial analysis: return on investments, impact analysis, project management, etc)
  • Assist in the creation of the due diligence reporting for our corporate partners


The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, pro-active attitude. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly understand a business model, including its market, financial projections, timelines, risks, competitive landscape, funding requirements, etc.
  • A basic understanding of the supply chain & the market dynamics of the apparel / footwear industry
  • Ability to sell opinions and ideas to high level managers and investors
  • Capacity to work in a demanding and multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The following experience is a plus: relevant work experience (e.g.internships: 0-1 years) in venture capital.



  • Academic degree preferably within business, economics, engineering, chemistry, or biotechnology.


  • Proficiency in English is a requirement.
