Employment type: Freelance +/- 10  hours a month


The Fashion for Good (FFG) Experience Systems Administrator will serve as the primary interface for the FFG and the outsourced technical providers (AV, Software). This position will support FFG in all areas related to technical evaluation, network administration, exhibit maintenance, service contracting, and implementation of technology & technology repairs.  

The Fashion for Good Experience is the world’s first interactive, technology-driven museum dedicated to sustainable and circular fashion innovation. Through a series of interactive exhibits and activations, visitors can learn about the past, present and future of the fashion industry, with a special focus on 50+ innovations on the verge of disrupting the way we view fashion. At the centre of the Experience is a digitally-enabled Good Fashion Journey, through which visitors can discover and commit to ways that they can make a difference. At the end, visitors take home a personalised Good Fashion Action Plan, a digital guide filled with tips for extending what they learned in the Experience into their daily lives.  

Specifically, you’d be responsible for: 

  • Provide daily oversight of technology (museum startup sequences & verification of function) 
  • Engage and integrate with outside contractors 
  • Ensure that the FFG technical solutions and processes are operating effectively 
  • Support FFG to determine IT priorities & resource needs in support of FFG operations – including education, training and standard operating procedures 
  • Provide direction & support to external partners as required 
  • Assume stewardship of and utilize & maintain a process for governance and allocation of tasks to ensure FFG technical systems operate every day to provide the best possible visitor experience 


The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, pro-active attitude. The following qualifications are essential:  

  • Proven experience operating mid-sized, complex and successful technology projects 
  • Experience with systems development life cycles in both custom developed applications and packaged solutions.  

Technical Skills 

  • Mac/Linux & PC Troubleshooting 
  • SSH/BASH familiarity  
  • Knowledge of AV signals (HDMI, Ethernet, USB, etc) 
  • Basic Network knowledge (Ping, IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, etc.) 


Proficiency in English is a requirement.
