AMSTERDAM – From June 1st, the Fashion for Good Museum will open its doors again to visitors. As with all other museums in the Netherlands, the museum had to close temporarily due to COVID-19. The sustainable fashion innovation museum will open again with an online reservation system that will be accessible via the website, in order to guarantee the safety of its visitors and to avoid long queues outside. In addition, the opening hours will be adjusted and there will be new programming in order to continue to inspire and educate the public through digital channels.

“Since the initial closing of the Museum, we immediately began brainstorming to see how we can continue to inform our visitors. We sell books from a safe distance, which can be picked up in our Good Shop, for example, ” says Gwen Boon, Experience Manager.

The programming has also been adjusted, so that you can view the museum digitally on Fashion for Good’s social media channels, participate in DIY workshops or follow interactive discussions with designers and experts via Zoom.

DIGITAL TOURS

The aim of the Fashion for Good Experience is to tell visitors the stories behind their clothes and to explain how one can make more sustainable choices. The best way to do this is through a tour with a guide, who explain all the ins and outs about the fashion industry and the innovations that make fashion better.

Gwen explains: Guided tours of the museum are a bit more complicated than usual now as we cannot host large groups of people. That is why digital tours with a Fashion for Good host can be booked as of today! Schools, associations, or other groups can book the tour at teamlead.experience@fashionforgood.com.

These digital tours can be booked worldwide, a unique opportunity for people from all over the world to book a tour now. Afterwards you will receive GIFs, digital tools, tips and tricks to help you further on your personal Good Fashion journey!
