Event | Repair and Rewear: Spring & Festival Edition

Nearly half of all festival-goers plan to buy a new outfit this festival season with 1 in 3 saying they’ll only wear it once — break the fast fashion cycle and reduce the negative impact on the planet by shopping your own closet instead!

On 29 and 30 April, we’re hosting an upcycling and mending station at the Fashion for Good Museum, together with the talented designers and customisation experts from New Order of Fashion, De Naaierij and Tailors of Amsterdam.

Breathe new life into your pre-loved items by having them repurposed into a unique (and sustainable) look by one of our upcycling specialists. Whether you have a hole in your favourite jeans or a vintage find that needs some customising, bring them to the Fashion for Good Museum and see our experts work their magic Or, join our sewing table and get tips and tricks to upcycle your own item into a personalised and sustainable outfit. — say bye to buying new!

Together with a talented team of upcycle and customisation specialists – Valentine Tinchant from New Order of Fashion, Attila from Tailors of Amsterdam and the team from De Naaierij – we’re hosting the next edition of our ‘Rewear and Repair’ event at the Fashion for Good Museum on April 29 and 30, where visitors can bring their pre-loved items in to be given a unique second life.

Types of repair or alterations possible

  • Visible Mending
  • Creative altering and upcycling
